Chascomús is located to the south of the Federal Capital at 120 kilometers. It is a typical rural locality Buenos Aires Pampas characterized by old houses, narrow paved streets. Its homonymous lake integrates the regional lake system and is epicenter of sport fishing.
As historic-cultural attractions we find the legendary Casa de Casco, the Museum Pampas, Brazzola Theater, the Chapel Los Negros and the Castle La Amistad. Casa de Casco is one of the first large houses of Chascomús built in 1831. The history tells that Vicente Casco was against Rosas, when he loses the battle of Libres del Sur, he is executed and in that same house is carried out the federal celebration of victory.
In Chascomús you can live with nature in the Park Libres del Sur, which is found in the lake System Encadenadas that extends along all the Party of the head city. The system is composed by the lakes Vitel, Chascomús, La Adela, Del Burro, Chis-Chis, Tabililla and Barrancas. In the park is practiced sport fishing, nautical sports and birds´ sight.
In the fertile fields of Chascomús we find elegant farms in which to experience the rural work. It is very interesting to visit the Club Pelota that conserves the tradition of Basques resident in the party, lovers of paddle ball.
